1st prize winner of the Tokyo Music Competition, Gerva performs with different bands and projects in genres like tango, classic, flamenco, klezmer, latin, new-jazz, reggae and contemporary music. He performed as soloist with Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Haydn di Bolzano, Russische Kammerphilharmonie St. Petersburg, Bogotá Chamber Orchestra, Transylvania State Phil, Busan Philharmonic, Armenian State Symphony and the National Orchestra of Uruguay

He received first prizes at the Cluj Music Competition, 30th Japan Woodwind Competition, Saverio Mercadante Clarinet Competition, Sava Dimitrov Competition, Audi Mozart Competition; second prize at the Dimitri Ashkenazy competition; third prize at the ClassicWinds Hamburg Competition; and the Martinu Prize at the Janacek International Music Competition. He was also a semi-finalist in the Concours de Geneve and the Beijing International Music Competition. He received the Golden Award at the Oskar Rieding Composition Competition in Slovenia and the National Prize for Composition in Uruguay.
He has been invited to Fredener Musiktage, Jeju International Winds Festival, Davos Music Festival, Klangrausch Festival Weimar, Patagonia Clarinet Festival, Bethlehem Christmas Festival, Settimana Mozartiana di Rovereto, Strassenmusikfestival Ludwigsburg. He has performed along and been inspired by musicians like Hugo Fattoruso, Kirk Lightsey, Michael Rabinowitz, Peter Eötvös, Yutaka Sado, Claus Peter Flor, Piero Gamba, Dmitri Kitajenko, Marino Formenti, Nemanja Radulovic, Ilya Gringolts, Jens Lindemann, Alice Sara Ott, Peter Rösel, Paul Meyer. Apart from his concerts and tours, he frequently travels playing in the streets with his brother Martín Tarragona Valli on guitar and the beatboxer and handpan player Crobbs.
